First thing in the morning sail around the promontory of Loviste and then to Sucuraj on the island of Hvar. In Sucuraj you can only tie up along the quayside or beside the pier in the northeastern part of the harbor (depths 2 to 3 meters). (There is a car ferry service between Sucuraj, Hvar's easternmost harbor, and Drvenik on the mainland.) If you prefer a swim then it is nicer to stop a mile or so further away off Hvar's northern shore in the cove of Vlaska.
After leaving the island of Hvar head for Brac in the direction of its easternmost promontory of Lascatna. There are several small coves, in which you can have a nice swim, between the eastern promontory next to the harbor of Sumartin and the promontory of Lascatna (watch out for the reef of Rudinica).
Spend the night in the small harbor of Povlja or in one of several coves in the bay of Povlja, depending on the prevailing wind. The westernmost cove of the bay, called Luka, is perhaps the nicest. To reach this point today you will have sailed 38 miles.
