Today will be another day of relaxed sailing without the need to cover much distance. Begin by sailing to Vela Luka. It is just seven miles from Tri Luke. Here, you can buy excellent olive oil. There are lovely spots for swimming almost anywhere within this large bay, especially on the north side in the cove of Gradina to the east of the islet of Gubes. Next sail to Scedro, and it is wise to sail to the west of the islet of Proizd (which follows the line of the northwest promontory off Vela Luka) when leaving Vela Luka in order to give the shoals a wide berth. It is seven miles to Scedro.
According to Slavic mythology, Scedro means "merciful", and indeed this tiny island does have a merciful offering of a few safe havens. On its south shores, there are lovely coves for swimming - Carnjeni and Borova, where you can also spend a night provided there is no sirocco. On the north side, there are two safe havens whose reputations date back to ancient times - Lovisce (Veli porat) and Mostir. There are a few scattered houses around both of them, while in Mostir there are the remnants of a fortress-like monastery from the 16th century.
