Sailing Itinerary 2 - Day Seven
For a morning swim, head to the labyrinthine cove of Tiha (which is an excellent place to spend the night, especially if Stari Grad's harbor is crowded). After your swim, sail to the shores of Brac and the cove of Blaca from where you can take a leisurely walk to the monks retreat and their estate overlooking the cove. This will take seven miles of sailing. However, if you are not interested in history you can set sail for Lucica, which is two and half miles further on the course to Splitska vrata. In the three good-sized prongs of this delightful cove you have a number of options for the best protection, depending on the prevailing wind. This is an ideal swimming spot, which is also a good overnight option. (There is a good restaurant in the westernmost prong). Nonetheless, we suggest sailing for another four miles to the island of Solta and its Stracinska cove. There is a fish farm in its northern corner. If the sirocco picks up, it is better to stay in Lucice cove or head for a little bit of civilization that is just around the corner - Brac's most charming town of Milna. (There is a marina and a petrol station in Milna).
